The Story
Why we're standing with Nelson.
Police Officer Nelson Crespo has dedicated more than 20 years of his life to protecting the people of Chicago.
On April 25, Nelson survived a tragic shooting and is now in the ICU, facing limited mobility in his arms and no mobility in his legs.
Nelson's journey to recovery will be long and challenging. He will require extensive rehabilitation for the foreseeable future, and his home will need significant modifications to accommodate his new needs.
The financial burden of medical care, therapy, and home adjustments is overwhelming. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference.
Funds will help Nelson and his family navigate this difficult time and remind them that they are not alone.
